Maud TAYLOR : 1912-2003 |
Maud Taylor, nee Berry, was born in Bristol but moved to Halifax when she was a child. She married Eric Taylor at St Jude's Church in 1942 and the couple, throughout their years at Heath, lived on Ventnor Terrace, Manor Drive, where generations of Heathens were always made welcome. Mrs Taylor taught at various primary schools in Halifax, but during WWII taught at Heath, taking over her husband's timetable and winning the affection of her pupils. Mrs Taylor was a stalwart of the Halifax Choral Society for more than 30 years, and was also involved with the National Council of Women. The funeral was held in Bristol on 15th November.
