LANGUAGE COLLEGE STATUS

'The school has been successful in its bid for Language College Status, which commences in September 2003. On behalf of the Association, Russell Smith handed over a donation of £2,500 to the school. A reception was held in the Resources Centre on 27th June 2003 to mark the launch of the venture, and the school was granted a half-holiday - a unique experience!'

OLD BOYS HAVE A WORD FOR IT

'Past students of a Halifax school have helped its modern day equivalent achieve specialist status.
Crossley Heath School has recently been granted specialist school status as a language college.
To do so it was required to raise £50,000 when it submitted its application. Heath Old Boy's Association, made up of past students from the former Heath School, has helped by giving the school £2,500.'
