Proposed Demolition of Heath House – Foundation Stone plaque |
| "The owners of Heath House- the old headmaster’s house, now a surgery-want to demolish it and replace it with a purpose-built surgery. I doubt whether there will be many objections to the proposed demolition-the building has no real architectural merit-but as you probably know the house incorporates the original stone plaque from the school’s foundation above the east door. I have contacted the Planning Department at Calderdale to suggest that this important relic be saved, but the more people draw attention to this then the better the stone plaques prospect of survival."
